Know what you’re paying for
What’s included. What can cost extra.
Starting prices cover the panel replacement described below. Your written estimate confirms the equipment, work, and total before you decide.
Included in the agreed scope
- Review of your existing panel and electrical needs
- New panel and breakers, as listed in your estimate
- Removal of the old panel
- Required grounding work, labeling, and testing
- Permit and inspection coordination when required
Equipment and technical details
Your estimate identifies the service size, panel, breakers, grounding and bonding (electrical connections that help protect the installation), and any meter or feeder work. We explain which items your home needs.
Work that may add to the price
- Increasing service size or replacing meter equipment
- Additional wiring or grounding work beyond the agreed scope
- Trenching, conduit, and restoring disturbed surfaces
- Extra utility requirements or difficult access
Underground trenching: for 200-amp work, required trenching is $125 per foot in addition to the base panel price.
Permit and utility requirements are reviewed for your property. The written estimate sets out what is included and any extra costs.
From your first call to the final check
Three straightforward steps.
- 01
Talk about your home
Call or request a callback. Tell us what you need and where the home is. You don’t need to diagnose the panel.
- 02
Review your written estimate
We evaluate the equipment and explain the scope, price, and any permit or utility requirements. There’s no obligation to book.
- 03
Schedule the installation
After you approve, we plan the work and power interruption, install and test the equipment, and coordinate inspection when required.
Before you call
A few helpful answers.
Do I need to know my service type?
No. Overhead service uses power lines from a pole. Underground service uses lines through the ground. If you’re unsure, call and we’ll help identify it.
Does my panel need replacing?
Not every older panel needs replacement. We look at its condition, available space, and what you want your home to power before recommending the work.
Do I need a 200-amp panel?
Not every home does. We review your current electrical needs and planned additions, such as an EV charger, before recommending a service size.
Who handles permits and the utility?
We identify required permits, inspections, and utility coordination in your written estimate. We explain what is needed before work begins.
Will my power be off during the work?
Panel replacement involves turning off the power. The timing depends on your project and any utility or inspection requirements. We discuss the plan before scheduling.
Which areas do you serve?
We’re based in Citrus Heights and serve the Sacramento area, including Roseville, Folsom, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Orangevale, Rocklin, and Granite Bay. Call to confirm your address is in our service area.
