Dican Electric ("Dican Electric," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information submitted through dicanelectric.org.
Information we collect
When you contact us or request an estimate, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, requested electrical service, project details, and other information you voluntarily provide. We may also collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
How we use your information
We use submitted information to respond to estimate requests, contact you about requested services, answer questions, schedule consultations or electrical work, provide customer service, improve our website, prevent spam or misuse, and maintain business records.
First-job discount and optional email marketing
When you request a discount code, we store your name, normalized email address, phone number, code, verification and redemption status, and privacy and optional marketing consent records in our Cloudflare-hosted database. We email the requested code and verification link. We use hashed security tokens and limited request records to protect the service. One code is issued per email address.
Promotional email consent is optional, unchecked by default, and confirmed only after email verification. We may export consenting contacts to an email provider such as Mailchimp. You can withdraw consent using the email-preferences link in your code email or by contacting us. Future promotional emails will also provide an unsubscribe option. Providing your phone number does not authorize marketing texts.
Internal notifications
When you submit an estimate request, the website may send the information you provide to Dican Electric through internal email and text-message alerts so we can respond quickly. These alerts are sent only to Dican Electric personnel. Customers are not enrolled in automated text-message programs through the website estimate form.
Information sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website and business, including website hosting, form processing, email delivery, internal alert delivery, security, spam prevention, and analytics providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to Dican Electric.
Data retention and security
We retain submitted information as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect our business. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Third-party websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, review platforms, maps, or other external resources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, content, or security.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices and changes
You may choose not to provide information, although we may be unable to respond without enough information to contact you. You may ask us to correct inaccurate information. We may update this policy by posting a revised effective date on this page.
